LCDA257-2A Two-Axis Closed-Loop Driver

Product Overview

LCDA257-2A driver is a digital step driver developed with the latest generation of 32-bit DSP chip, which can cover step motors with 57, 60, 86 mounting base; the driver supports two control modes: independent pulse control of two axes and synchronous pulse control of two axes, which can control two-axis step motors separately or synchronously for precise positioning control. This driver integrates two-axis step control into one, which not only saves installation space and cost for customers, but also can drive two machines at the same time to improve the accuracy of synchronous control of customers, and convenient wiring and debugging also improve the flexibility and convenience of on-site applications.

Description

PUL1+

Axis 1 - External pulse mode: used as pulse signal input, signal voltage supports 5V-24V; pulse input mode: pulse + direction (used as pulse port), dual pulse (used as CW port); pulse effective edge adjustable, default pulse rising edge effective; to reliably respond to pulse signals, pulse width should be greater than 2.5μs.

PUL1-

DIR1+

Axis 1 - External pulse mode: used as direction port input, signal voltage supports 5V-24V; pulse input mode: pulse + direction (used as direction port), dual pulse (used as CCW port); high/low level signal, to ensure reliable motor direction change, direction signal should be established at least 5μs before pulse signal.

DIR1-

ENA1+

Axis 1 enable control signal, this input signal is used to enable or disable the driver outputs of axis 1 and axis 2. When ENA is connected to low level (or internal optocoupler conduction), the driver will cut off the current of each motor phase to make the motor free and not respond to step pulses. When this function is not needed, leave the enable signal terminal floating. (Signal voltage supports 5-24V)

PUL2+

Axis 2 - External pulse mode: used as pulse signal input, signal voltage supports 5V-24V; pulse input mode: pulse + direction (used as pulse port), dual pulse (used as CW port); pulse effective edge adjustable, default pulse rising edge effective; to reliably respond to pulse signals, pulse width should be greater than 2.5μs.

Axis 2 - External pulse mode: used as direction port input, signal voltage supports 5V-24V; pulse input mode: pulse + direction (used as direction port), dual pulse (used as CCW port); high/low level signal, to ensure reliable motor direction change, direction signal should be established at least 5μs before pulse signal.

ENA2+

Axis 2 enable control signal, this input signal is used to enable or disable the driver outputs of axis 1 and axis 2. When ENA is connected to low level (or internal optocoupler conduction), the driver will cut off the current of each motor phase to make the motor free and not respond to step pulses. When this function is not needed, leave the enable signal terminal floating. (Signal voltage supports 5-24V)

ENA2-

ALM1+

Axis 1 alarm output signal, requires external 24V power supply; when axis 1 motor alarm occurs, signal is output through the alarm port. (Default is normally open interface, i.e., signal output when alarm occurs; can be changed to normally closed output by software communication parameter PA-21 set to 1, i.e., signal disconnects when alarm occurs.)

ALM1-

ALM2+

Axis 2 alarm output signal, requires external 24V power supply; when axis 2 motor alarm occurs, signal is output through the alarm port. (Default is normally open interface, i.e., signal output when alarm occurs; can be changed to normally closed output by software communication parameter PA-47 set to 1, i.e., signal disconnects when alarm occurs.)
