LCDA257F Two-phase 57 Closed-loop Stepper Driver

Product Overview

The LCDA257F uses the latest dedicated motor control DSP chip and vector closed-loop control technology, completely overcoming the problem of step loss in open-loop stepper motors. At the same time, it significantly improves the motor's high-speed performance, reduces motor heating and vibration, enhances machine processing speed and precision, and lowers machine power consumption. This driver is compatible with two-phase 57-type closed-loop stepper motors, facilitating upgrades from traditional stepper drive solutions and greatly reducing costs.

(3) Control Signal Ports

NameDescription

PUL+

Pulse input signal: pulse active edge adjustable, default pulse rising edge active; to reliably respond to pulse signals, pulse width should be greater than 2.5μs. When using +12V or +24V, a 1.5K resistor must be connected in series.

PUL-

DIR+

Direction input signal: switch motor direction through high / and low level signals, direction signal should be established at least 5 μ s before pulse signal; when using +12V or +24V a 1.5 K resistor must be connected in series.

DIR-

ENA+

Enable control signal: this input signal is used to enable or disable driver output. When this function is not needed, leave the enable signal terminal floating. When using +12V or +24V, a 1.5K resistor must be connected in series.

DIP Switch Settings
The current of this series of drivers is auto-tuned, so manual current setting is not required. The DIP switch functions are as follows:
SW1~SW4: Microstep subdivision settingSW5: Motor forward/reverse direction selection
SW6: Current auto-tuning mode switchSW7: Closed-loop/open-loop mode switch selection
SW8: Pulse edge selection

Main Application Areas

Suitable for various motion control automation equipment and instruments, such as: electronic processing and inspection, semiconductor packaging, laser cutting and welding, laser typesetting, packaging machinery, engraving machines, marking machines, cutting machines, garment plotters, CNC machine tools, automated assembly equipment, etc.
