LCDA257X Two-Phase 57 Closed-Loop Stepper Driver

Product Overview

The LCDA257X uses the latest dedicated motor control DSP chip and vector closed-loop control technology to completely overcome the problem of step loss in open-loop stepper motors. At the same time, it significantly improves the motor's high-speed performance, reduces motor heating and vibration, enhances machine processing speed and precision, and lowers machine power consumption. This driver is compatible with two-phase 57-type closed-loop stepper motors, facilitating upgrades from traditional stepper drive solutions and greatly reducing costs.

DIP Switch Setting
The current of this series of drivers is auto-tuned, so manual current setting is not required. The DIP switch functions are as follows:

SW1~SW4: Set driver subdivision (see subdivision table on driver casing, effective after restart);SW5: Set motor direction (ON: forward, OFF: reverse);
SW6: Work mode selection (ON: open loop, OFF: closed loop);SW7: Pulse mode selection (ON: CW/CCW, OFF: PUL+DIR);
SW8: Alarm port logic selection (ON: normally closed, OFF: normally open);

Alarm Handling
Alarm Type
Fault Description
Fault Handling
Flashes once every 5 seconds
Overcurrent Alarm
1. Motor power line short circuit or motor fault;
2. Driver current loop parameter set too high;
3. If no errors found in the above two points, it may be an internal driver fault and needs to be returned for inspection.
Flashes twice every 5 seconds
Overvoltage Alarm
1. Power supply voltage too high or unstable, check if transformer output voltage is normal;
2. Internal driver fault, needs to be returned for inspection.
Flashes three times every 5 secondsor
Flashes seven times every 5 seconds
Encoder Fault
1. Encoder wire is broken or has poor contact.
2. Driver encoder input circuit is damaged.
Overload Alarm
Motor stall or excessive load.
Position Deviation Too Large
1. Motor power line phase sequence reversed, check the sequence according to the label on the motor;
2. Loose, poor contact, or broken motor power line or encoder wire can cause this fault,If there is a spare cable, try replacing the cable;
